Australian claims their Balinese driver ‘is like family’

After booking him for an airport pickup and a tour to Waterbom - the Harrisons from Wyong now consider their driver Ketut their newest relative.

“ We think of him as part of our family now - we have even visited his local village in Legian. He welcomed us from day one - so the least we can do is help him pay his mother’s medical bills, put his 3 children through school and wire money over regularly for emergencies. We are the only people that can help him - he doesn’t ask any of his other customers for loans or money. We have a special connection.”

After this reporter explained it is a very common scam in Bali - Mrs. Harrison replied:

“ Mackasee - we have been to the Padma Resort twice now - I think we know what we are doing! We are Bali locals now. He has even offered us land in his village…we can own it and build a nice villa he said - just like family.”

Mrs. Harrison was last seen at the Mandira Bank in Kuta setting up a direct transfer to pay for Ketut’s next ceremony.
